Magis 2013

by Jim Manney

This blog is interested in all things Magis, so we’re solidly behind Magis 2013, a festival of Jesuit-sponsored service projects and cultural experiences leading up to World Youth Day in Rio de Janeiro this coming July.  Young people from all over the world will be there.  Tell your friends.  Here is a video invitation. I was with the 2011 Magis group in Madrid (see my dotMagis post at http://www.ignatianspirituality.com/10551/world-youth-day/). Parents and grandparents: share this with the young adults in your life. The Jesuit colleges and universities in the United States, working with the Maryland Jesuits’ Apostleship of Prayer, sent their students to this formative experience. My students from Boston College all speak about what a magnificent way this was to integrate prayer, service, and celebration of faith.
