  1. Thank you Jurell for sharing your story. My dad died 6yrs ago and my family did not call me until he had died. It still hurts. My dad’s death left a huge void in my life and I still cry. I am so glad your family had the gift of faith to be present with God.

  2. Thank you, Jurell. Having lost my dad recently, I needed to affirm what I know deep down – that God is always present at all times – but sometimes am unable to be aware of in the midst of my grief. I am very fortunate to have been brought up in the tradition of St. Ignatius as both my parents spent almost their entire life teaching, administrating, mentoring students and colleagues at the Jesuit University in Loyola Height, QC, Philippines (ADMU). It is in the spirit of their legacy that I am also bringing up my children. Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam.

  3. This is so powerful. God amidst the sadness of illness, pain, and loss – where God so powerfully resides, waiting to walk with us. And when we are ready, God is still there, to comfort, to heal, to give.
    Thank you.
