Prayer

Speak to God of the storms in your life: the experiences that make it difficult to remain faithful to the call Jesus has given you. Bring what is secret before Jesus and ask him to drive the storms away.

Action

Use an experience of a “storm” as an opportunity to give thanks to God. Become aware of your natural desire to react negatively, to lash out in anger or hurt. Take time to invite God into the experience, and see it the way Jesus saw the storm.

  1. Thank you for this timely reflection amid the storm of Coronavirus.Jesus is right there with us in the boat reminding us of His Peesence and His ability to still this storm.

  2. It is amazing how the Lord always responds to me, in some fashion, if I just pay attention. Today’s Lenten workout about storms is just what I needed to hear today for I am in the midst of being tossed about & needed this to steady me. Thank you.

  4. for me it’s not so much a “storm” that I need Jesus to calm for me as it is a feeling of being adrift on the sea with no wind in my sails – in the doldrums – My need is for a renewed Breath of the Holy Spirit to get me moving.
