A Spiritual Way of Proceeding

The Jesuit Institute South Africa produced a two-minute video introduction to Ignatian spirituality. David Fleming, SJ, is quoted in the video as saying Ignatian spirituality is “a spiritual way of proceeding that offers a vision of life, an understanding of God, a reflective approach to living, a reverential attitude to our world, and an expectation of finding God in all things.”

Fleming is the author of What Is Ignatian Spirituality?

  1. This is the way I would choose to live my life as a Christian. To find God in all things and all people. I am struggling with the people part but I do find that since I have been doing the examen (though rather imperfectly) I am becoming more understanding of people, and I hope less judgemental and more kind.

    • Anne – Imperfection is okay in the Human Condition. You ARE living Ignatian Spirituality. It just takes constant practice and reflection. Thank you for your honesty.
