Lunchtime Examen

Lunchtime Examen

It’s time to make some decisions about what you’ll do to observe Lent, which is only nine days away.   May I suggest that you give the Lunchtime Examen a try?  This is a series of six guided prayers based on the Ignatian Examen.  The prayers will be posted each Wednesday in Lent, with the first coming on Ash Wednesday next week.

Each of the sessions will guide you through a prayerful reflection on the events of your day so that you can see where God has been especially present.  Each session will also explain some aspect of the Examen.  It’s a good way to both learn about the Examen and get a feel for how to pray it.  Oh yes — I’m doing the narrating.  The Lunchtime Examen project grew out of my new book, A Simple, Life-Changing Prayer: Discovering the Power of St. Ignatius Loyola’s Examen. You’ll find the Lunchtime Examen here.  Bookmark the page and visit it on Ash Wednesday.
