Waiting for the Spirit: An Online Retreat

Waiting for the Spirit: Ascension to Pentecost Retreat - text next to image of disciples at Pentecost

Spend the days between Ascension and Pentecost in prayer with the IgnatianSpirituality.com community and the online retreat, Waiting for the Spirit. Just as the Apostles and Mary waited in prayer between Christ’s Ascension into heaven and the coming of the Holy Spirit on Pentecost, we await the renewal the Holy Spirit brings as we close the Easter season.

Our nine-day online spiritual retreat series will start May 22, 2020, and conclude May 30, the Vigil of Pentecost. Each day will include prayer suggestions and a video reflection inspired by the daily Gospel and featuring Loyola Press authors and dotMagis bloggers:

Vinita Wright, Gretchen Crowder, and Rebecca Ruiz will offer short prayers to conclude each day’s retreat materials. We encourage you to share your thoughts on each day’s retreat reflections through the comments section here on dotMagis.

There is no need to register for this free retreat, but if you’d like daily reminders when each day’s content is available, sign up for the Year in Our Church e-mails from Loyola Press.

Invite your friends and family to join you in Waiting for the Spirit by posting on your favorite social media sites. Then mark your calendar for May 22!
