Writer Catherine Anne Sullivan presented a webinar on Ignatian journaling through Ignatian Young Adult Ministries. The advice is helpful for beginning journal writers of all ages, however. Sullivan suggests two centering questions to address in writing:

  • What is one good thing I can thank God for today?
  • What is one hard thing I can invite God into?

Watch the recorded presentation below.

If you want to try journaling this Christmas season, the Epiphany novena begins on December 28, and Loyola Press offers a downloadable Epiphany Journaling Novena Booklet with writing prompts. Request your copy here.

  1. Many thanks Catherine Anne Sullivan for your presentation on Ignatian Journaling. You have touched upon several stepping stones that can take the seeker closer in the direction of the Divine in one’s journey. Terrific and doable.
