Stubborn Hope

Hope Through the Twists and Turns - text over spiral staircase seen from above

Editor’s note: Throughout July, we’re hosting 31 Days with St. Ignatiusa month-long celebration of Ignatian spirituality. In addition to the calendar of Ignatian articles found here, posts on dotMagis this month will explore the theme of “Hope Through the Twists and Turns.”

Hope is stubborn, defiant trust in divine promises when everything may seem to be falling apart.

Watch my video reflection below.

Today in 31 Days with St. Ignatius, ponder The Hedgehog Conundrum with Eric Clayton. #31DayswithIgnatius

  1. With few but effective and convincing words, doctoral student, the Reverend Rossmann has put before us a hope-filled pathway for our onward journey. Thanks Mike.

  2. Thank you for this homily. For the past few weeks (where did this come from?) I have been thinking a lot about hope and what it means for us. It is a grace from God and one that we should pray for.

My question is: can I get a transcript of your message? I’d like to keep it in my journal.

BTW I am an Ignatian Associate (Twin Cities) and I think I recall meeting you some time ago at or in connection with the Novitiate.
