Hello Becky. I am considering going on an Ignation silent retreat, which would involve meeting with a spiritual director for about half an hour every day. I wouldn’t know the director in advance; I am not normally a shy person but in this case I feel rather apprehensive about being expected to share my inner life with a stranger. (I feel that my inner life is a bit private sometimes!)
I would be grateful if you could let me know what are your thoughts about this.

I guess being faithful to Spiritual Direction is one of the hardest part for a seeker of Spiritual Direction. listening to you now makes me realize that maybe it is because ” I” and my ” SD” just don’t fit …that’s why…
so at the end I abandoned it. But I remain faithful though to other means of seeking God in my life. Thank you very much for this
