Grandparents Day Wisdom and Giveaway

Sharing the Wisdom of Time - the book that inspired the Netflix series Stories of a Generation with Pope Francis

In honor of Grandparents Day, Loyola Press is giving away five copies of Sharing the Wisdom of Time to lucky readers. Enter for your chance to win.

Sharing the Wisdom of Time collects the wisdom of elders from more than 30 countries. This beautiful book by Pope Francis and Friends is the inspiration for an upcoming Netflix series and invites intergenerational conversations in families and communities.

As Pope Francis has written elsewhere:

If we journey together, young and old, we can be firmly rooted in the present, and from here, revisit the past and look to the future. To revisit the past in order to learn from history and heal old wounds that at times still trouble us. To look to the future in order to nourish our enthusiasm, cause dreams to emerge, awaken prophecies and enable hope to blossom. Together, we can learn from one another, warm hearts, inspire minds with the light of the Gospel, and lend new strength to our hands. (Christus Vivit, #199)

  1. I never miss your email and informative articles. Thank you all your authors and writers. I’m Jesuit to the core. My parish is Creighton St. John’s for many years…left in 1955 to enter the conven. Keep up the great work.

  2. I have found it is absolutely true that knowing our history helps us understand our future. In companioning my father through his final years of life, I learned so much about his life in all stages that explained the choices he made for his life and his family. Having discussions about certain various times in his life, I believe healed his old wounds and I came accept and know the real man Dad was outside the role of parent – the man he never allowed us to get to know at a younger age. I experienced a peaceful letting go of him at his passing that would not have been possible before the stories. Such wisdom, love and gift! Thank you!
