Br. Guy Consolmagno, SJ, spoke on “Exploring Wonder, Beauty, and Science” at an event sponsored by Boston College’s Church in the 21st Century Center, the Institute for Advanced Jesuit Studies, and the Center for Ignatian Spirituality. In the first part of the video, he addresses topics from creation to Job to poetry to, of course, the science of the stars and how big God is. He says, “That’s what looking at the stars can make you think about. It can bring an entire sense of wonder and perspective to your life.”
In the second part of the video, Consolmagno sits with Emanuele Colombo, Ph.D., a research scholar at the Institute for Advanced Jesuit Studies and a professor at the Lynch School of Education, for a discussion on the Vatican Observatory and themes from his book, A Jesuit’s Guide to the Stars: Exploring Wonder, Beauty, and Science.
