Best Ignatian Songs: Picture of Jesus

A few weeks ago I promised to pick a gospel song for our Best Ignatian Songs feature.  Here’s a good one: “Picture of Jesus,” by Ben Harper and the Blind Boys of Alabama.  I like the way the lyrics play with “picture.”  It’s an image of Jesus hanging on the wall, and also a longing to be like Jesus.

We long to be a picture of Jesus

In His arms so many prayers rest

I long to be a picture of Jesus

With Him we shall be forever blessed.

Lyrics here.  (Click here to watch it on YouTube.)
